Part time fire fighter

Water/Sewer Systems Operator

The City of Fort Oglethorpe is accepting applications for a full time position in the water and sewer department. Experience in operation and maintenance of water and sewer system including pumps, electric motors and controls, fire hydrants, and other water and sewer related equipment preferred but not required. Experience in industrial maintenance with emphasis on electrical and electronic controls desirable. High School diploma or GED required. CDL license preferred but not required. Some job duties include but not limited to meter reading, meter installation, water main repairs, sewer main repairs, sewer pump station operation and maintenance.

The City of Fort Oglethorpe offers retirement, uniforms, annual and sick leave, insurance and a 40-hour work week. Physical, drug screen and driver history required. Applications may be picked up in Human Resources Department at Fort Oglethorpe City Hall, 500 City Hall Drive Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia Monday thru Friday 8AM to 5PM. Position open until filled.
