the park.

locator map made by the GIS Department. By finding the appropriate
department on the right and using it's number, the department can be
found on the map to the left.

GIS can
also be used to make 3-D maps. The view below was produced by the
City GIS Department. It shows various slopes of the City.
The colors represent a percent of slope as found in the legend.

The map
below was created using the same software as the slope map. In
this layout the colors represent the aspect of hillsides. In
simple terms, the aspect is the direction a hill slope faces. The
aspect is measured clockwise in degrees, starting at 0 (North and ending
at 360 (North).

This is a
DEM (Digital Elevation Model). It is color coded to represent
different elevations. This is not meant for precision elevation
analysis but, to be used for things like water flow and accumulation.
